Project Goals: Woodtones Design is a furniture manufacturer that mainly deals in boutique furniture. They needed to stand out amongst the already crowded woodworking market. They have decades of experience, but needed a clear vision for their brand. For this project we were brought in at the point of pre-product launch. We helped develop the rebrand and product ideation.
Our Solutions: We looked at their product line and experience, decided to emphasize the artistic side of their woodworking, while maintaining some of the more natural elements. We utilized brighter tones, with the name standing out as a rich mahogany color. We hearkened back to their decades of experience by using clean, retro typography. Another direction we guided them was to use burn-ins on any product they developed. That helped guide the brand engagement and recognition.
Results: They have done well enough to upgrade their delivery system with a new van, starting to participate in more maker events, and sell in additional prominent venues. With the redesign more customers have been reaching out to them for custom builds.
